Carine Roitfeld has had a fabulous career in the fashion industry from working as a model all the way up to being Editor in Chief of Vogue Paris for the last 10 years. After her departure from Vogue late last year she has been preparing to launch a new magazine in competition with the hoards of fashion magazines which already line the shelves of newsagents and book stores worldwide. Roitfeld had finally revealed the name of the future magazine as CR Fashion Book, somewhat a little unoriginal but from the work
Roitfeld has produced in the many Vogue editions she has edited I am sure the content will be anything but.
Roitfeld told WWD that the magazine will be a “celebration of fashion and creativity” introducing both new and old talent in an inspiration way. Produced out of offices at The Standard hotel in New York’s East Village the magazine will be set at a price of around £6, and more than half of its 50,000 copies will be distributed in Europe, with the rest in the US and Asia. Not only is Roitfeld creating the quarterly print magazine but she is also taking CR Fashion Book to the web, with this facet of the publication focusing mainly on art, culture and fashion.
The new publications is due to be released this September just in time for fashion week, so make sure you look out for it!
