One of the original Progressive Rock supergroups, Asia, celebrate their 30th anniversary this year with the release of a brand new studio album XXX and come back to England and Scotland as part of their world tour. The new abum, which is released on Monday July 2nd, features artwork by Roger Dean.

The current single Face on the Bridge, now in its sixth straight week on the A-list at Planet Rock is proving very popular and a good indication that the album will also give Geoff Downes, Steve Howe, Carl Palmer and John Wetton the further success they deserve.

Thirty years on, the band’s debut album topped the Billboard Charts Top 100 for an amazing nine weeks and went on to become the biggest selling album of the year. The album spawned the hits Heat Of The Moment and Only Time Will Tell. The new album, XXX, produced by Mike Paxman, has been hailed as Asia’s best album since their classic early 80’s release.

Asia Guitarist Steve Howe said, “We wanted to recapture the energy of the first album. Asia has always been about great songs, fantastic musicianship. Fans of the first album will fall in love with XXX.”

As well as the album, fans of the band will also be able to catch the band as part of a date tour which starts in Tavistock on Saturday 15th December and takes in one show in the North-West at Manchester’s Royal College of Music on the 21st December.
