The tour will start in Newcastle on October 10th at the prestigious City Hall and will take in two venues in the north-west during the 15 dates. Deacon Blue will be appearing at the o2 Apollo Manchester the following night and will be assured a great welcome when they come to the Liverpool Echo Arena on the 20th October.
The band has always given a great account of itself when it plays in Liverpool and was on excellent form when it last performed in the city.
If that wasn’t enough for the fans of the Scottish band, their publishers, Demon Music, are embarking on a full re-release of Deacon Blue’s entire catalogue that will feature unreleased tracks, demos and videos from the band’s archive. It is set to be released alongside the brand new album.
Ricky Ross, Deacon Blue’s lead singer said, “Our 25th anniversary has been looming, and I hoped that the band and I could release new material to celebrate. I’ve been writing songs with Deacon Blue in mind for a few years now, and it’s great to be back in the studio in Glasgow getting these tracks down. I can’t wait to get them out on the road!”
Tickets for Deacon Blue at the Liverpool Echo Arena and the Manchester o2 Apollo are available to buy now. Tickets are priced at £29.50 and £39.50. Tickets are available from Ticketline on 0870 4445556 and Gigantic at 0115 9597908.
