St. Helens Theatre Royal To Host The Pheonix Youth Music Theatre.


The upcoming August Bank holiday sees the Phoenix Youth Music Theatre present a breath-taking run of one of the classics of British theatre, Evita.

Based on a true story, Evita tells the rags to riches story of Eva Peron who became one of the most influential and cherished people in the history of Argentina. This production, as well as benefiting from having the original music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and the lyrics of Tim Rice, will showcase the amazing talents of thespians aged from 14-21 giving renditions of iconic and enduring songs such as Another Suitcase in Another Hall and the smash hit Don’t Cry For Me Argentina.

Evita will be performed from Wednesday 29th August till Saturday 1st September. There will be a matinee performance presented at 2:30pm on the Saturday.
