Following his 10 year anniversary tour earlier this year, Patrick Wolf has announced a short tour: A Night of Winter with Patrick Wolf this coming December.

In January, he played the Epstein Theatre in Liverpool, welcoming the city’s own Sense of Sound choir to join him during his set.

On December 19, he will be returning to Manchester for a gig at St Philip’s Church in Salford, where he also spent a week at the end of September writing new music.

Working together with director Matt Lambert, Patrick has also just released a new video for his track ‘The Libertine’, which was first heard on his album Wind in the Wires, and more recently a reworking of the song appears on his latest release – the hauntingly beautiful Sundark and Riverlight.

Madonna requested the video to be premiered as a part of her Art For Freedom project, leading to its release on the website yesterday, November 7: a suitable place for the first release of a piece so strongly centered on the need for freedom, whether it is artistic, sexual or the need for self-expression.
