This included football, hockey, lacrosse, rugby league, and rugby union. Basketball, netball, jiu jitsu, handball, trampoline, climbing, and swimming were held at the University of Liverpool Sports Centre on campus, while badminton and volleyball were at John Moores’ IM Marsh Sports Hall. The university sports department shares the good news via Twitter

AU President, Danny Harvey, had this to say:

“To have been involved in varsity for 4 years is, in itself, an honour, but to win having put so much effort into organising the event has left me ecstatic. Thanks must go to Danielle, George, Stu (and the rest of the Sport Liverpool team), as well as Josh and Josh and everyone who put so much time and effort in on behalf of John Moores. Finally, my personal thanks to our sponsors, Pinnacle, who made the whole event possible.
Ultimately I hope the event continues to grow and grow for many years to come, and UNI ‘TIL WE DIE!”

Well done to all the university sports teams!
