Local fans gathered outside of Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios on Wednesday night to try and catch a glimpse of multi-platinum selling artist Justin Bieber.
The 22-year-old Canadian singer was said to have been leaving the studio after an eight-hour recording session, only to be swarmed by a crowd of eager fans before continuing his European tour in Manchester on Thursday.
With Liverpool being predominantly associated with The Beatles and known for its vast music scene, many fans took to Twitter to share their excitement.
However, Bieber isn’t the only star to record in Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios. Over the years, the studios have been a creative hub for local acts such as Echo & the Bunnymen. International performers such as Drake and Rihanna have also visited.
Parr Street is famously known for recording some of Coldplay’s most popular singles – Yellow, The Scientist and Fix You, as well as being used throughout the 90s by bands such as The Spice Girls and Take That.
With 2017 marking the 25th Anniversary of Parr Street Studios’ debut, Liverpool can only wait for the next big artist to walk through those studio doors
