Burt’s Bees Hydrating Lip Balm- Honey

Burt’s bees is probably best known for it’s moisturising lip balms which are rather affordable in price. At around £4 and they can be found at most local drug stores (boots, Superdrug etc…). The range includes a variety of flavors such as pomegranate, mango and the traditional honey. They have now introduced a range of lip balms that creates a subtle tint, perfect for those lazy days. Always remember to throw your lip balm in your bag or coat pocket so you always have it on the go. It might be good idea to have several different lip balms living in your most used bags and jackets, because we all know how easily they can get lost!

 A Rich Moisturiser

Vaseline Intensive Care Moisturiser

I think moisturiser is a crucial part of anyone’s beauty regime throughout the year, but it becomes even more necessary when winter creeps in. Vaseline Intensive Care Essential lotion is a heavy-duty moisturiser, that’s perfect at keeping your skin soft and supple. It doesn’t really have a scent, so putting too much on will not create an over powering smell. Pop it on when you jump out of the shower for the best results to keep your skin super hydrated. I find that it’s not sticky after it’s applied either, like many other creamy lotions. Instead, it dries really quick so it doesn’t make your clothes cling to your skin!

An Affordable and Stylish Coat/Jacket

Blush Pink Silk Bomber Jacket- River Island

If anything’s a must have for the winter season, it’s a good coat/jacket. Obviously, being students many of us can’t afford to shell out a ton of money on a new coat. But if you look carefully, you can find decent deals on good quality coats. The UNiDAYS app is amazing for discounts on deals on high streets brands and shops. Keep your eyes peeled for discounts in places like H&M and ASOS, don’t forget to use them! There’s recently been discounts up to 30%, the perfect excuse to snap up that item you’ve had your eyes on for a while.

Keep your eyes on the damaged rack in shops too, sometimes they have major discounts and the problems with the items are easily fixed. I bought this dusky pink satin bomber from River Island for £15, the jacket only had minor rips in the lining which I sewed up in minutes. The original price was around £40, so I saved over half price!

Hopefully, these tips and tricks will help you out over the winter season… Let us know what your top advice is to keep happy and healthy as the weather gets colder!
