New, vibrant and full of flare and energy, Liverpool’s Fashion Society currently has over 65 members and hit the scene in full swing with its recent charity fashion show. Fashionistas wishing to come along to socials and all other events can like their Facebook page-  http://bit.ly/2mLadQD and then join on the Guild website- http://bit.ly/2lXbcOG.

The most important event for Fashion Society so far this academic year was their incredible charity fashion show in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. Full of innovative designs and inspiring colours, the sell-out fashion show was a momentous occasion for both watchers and partakers. The A.M by Alex Meade collection made its debut and with gorgeous hair up-dos, courtesy of Rush hairdressers. In the midst of all this glamour was an important cause, and nearly a hundred pounds was raised.

The Fashion Society offers practical solutions to your student clothing dilemmas through hosting clothes swaps. Rather than paying outrageous prices to revamp your wardrobe, by giving away three items of clothing, you could then take away three new items of clothing! Avoiding waste and updating your wardrobe for free- what could be better than that?

Fashion Society also presents amazing blogging opportunities for its members, including luxury brands like 2ToneFit, meaning not only a banging discount on designer clothes, but also building up a fabulous CV! With the extreme competitiveness of fashion journalism, Fashion Society’s blogging opportunities potentially opens up all new doors to keen writers.

The Fashion Society additionally holds socials which happen to usually take place every month or two. These socials are held at Revolution on Wood Street providing a chance for the group to socialise as well as possibly discuss upcoming events. Each member of the society are given a free Revs card – a treat for joining the Fashion community, which in turn gives you 2 for 1 cocktails and 50% off food. An opportunity not to be missed…
