I really do recommend this foundation, for those who have a little more money to splash out. Treat yourself! The range of shades are so diverse, you’re bound to find the perfect one.
The Hype: FENTY Beauty
I’m a little late to the party, but I have finally tried the FENTY Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longer Foundation and the Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer. Admittedly, I was a tad skeptic when I first tried it, feeling unsure with its reviews having come from the infamous Rihanna. But, it’s now become my staple foundation. At £26 it’s a bit pricey for a student but I believe it is worth the investment.
If you’re not good at matching your foundation to your skin shade (like me) pop into your local Harvey Nichols and visit the FENTY Beauty counter for some help. In Liverpool the nearest FENTY Beauty counter is in Beauty Bazaar, on 16 Manesty’s Lane, Liverpool One. It might be a bit intimidating for some people, as it does get busy, but it’s worth the wait. The MUA who matched my foundation gave me two options to pick from, and I was done in less than 10 minutes- matched, bought and straight out the door on a Saturday!
The coverage is medium-heavy and this can be built up, although luckily it doesn’t seem to be cakey at all when layered! I also ‘accidentally’ bought the primer as I was running out. The combo of both the foundation and primer is dreamy. Not only does the primer help it last longer, it’s ‘sweat-proof’! Ideal for long days at uni or work. I also have quite dry skin in patches where the foundation often sticks, but the primer helps solve this problem so it has a smooth and hydrated finish.
