Being a vegan or vegetarian in Liverpool just got a whole lot more exciting, with all of the best vegan restaurants serving up modern, homemade and delicious dishes right on our door step!  Sometimes choosing a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle can prove tricky when it comes to venturing out into the culinary world of restaurants. But, with a new popularity around vegan choices developing, more restaurants are offering an alternative for non-meat-eaters which is making us all very happy.

Maguire’s Pizza Bar is one of my favourite places to visit in the city, so much so I have already written up a review from the last time I went there. I have never been disappointed with a meal at Maguire’s, they serve tasty and exciting vegan/vegetarian pizzas that can fill your pizza dreams! If you like the sound of Maguire’s Pizza Bar then head over to the review written earlier this year by clicking on the link

Our Kitchen is the perfect solution to any of your hunger needs, they offer healthy, tasteful and organic food and drink. Their menu is full of modern, creative and mouth-watering choices, they have definitely taken a new approach to vegan/vegetarian cooking and brought it to Liverpool! They even offer a juice cleanse programme –  start your day with a ginger, turmeric and lemon shot in order to stimulate, then for lunch have a green giant smoothie to restore, finishing with a Calma milk to calm and de-stress in the evening. If you like the sound of that then head over to their restaurant or their webpage to have a look into what else they can offer. Their opening times are as follows: Monday- Friday: 8am to 10pm, Saturday: 9am to 10pm, and Sunday: 10am to 8pm.

The Old Hardware Shop is a vegan and vegetarian cafe found in Woolton Village on Woolton Street. It is a little cafe full of quirky and colourful decor, with a busy and vibrant atmosphere. There is a range of top quality vegetarian foods that can also be easily offered as vegan too! Their menu consists of the general cafe foods such as cheese toasties, hot dogs, sandwiches, milkshakes and all sorts of cakes, but vegetarian/vegan style!

Brasco Lounge is a fabulous venue both for its bright and modern setting and its extensive menu of delicious options. Located on the docks, the view is beautiful and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is something for everyone, offering meat, vegetarian as well as vegan choices. Their dishes are wholesome good home cooking that everyone is sure to enjoy.

The Egg Cafe is Liverpool’s very own premier vegetarian/vegan restaurant. It has become extremely popular with students due to the relaxed atmosphere and exciting menu. There is a beautiful view of the city centre from the restaurant and the space itself is quirky and modern. This social hub is located just off Bold Street, if you fancy popping in and grabbing something to eat. The opening times are as follows: Monday- Friday: 9am to 10.30pm, and Saturday- Sunday: 10am to 10.30pm.

When I first moved to Liverpool everyone raved about the popular restaurant on Bold Street, Mowgli Street Food. Their food is bursting with flavours and will definitely make you want to visit again soon. Although they are not strictly vegetarian they describe themselves as vegetarian friendly so I just had to add this restaurant to the list.
