Panoramic 34 was my top choice of restaurants/bars to visit when newly moving to Liverpool and after living here for two years it has become a favourite spot of mine to visit with family and friends. Of course being a student this is a more of a luxurious choice but for a special occasion or celebration it is perfect! However, if you choose from the cocktail lounge menu with the bar food then you can keep the prices lower and much more reasonable.

The view across the city of Liverpool is spectacular especially at night with all the lights. It is definitely a place I would recommend any resident or visitor of Liverpool to visit at least once. The excellent and attentive service made my experience feel very relaxing as well as adding to the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.

The cocktail lounge menu has a selection of classic British cuisine such as a daily selection of canapés, steak sandwich, chicken Caesar salad, duck spring rolls, olive platter, black pudding sausage rolls, fish & chips and halloumi tart. I ordered the fish & chips which came with crushed minted peas and tartar sauce. The fish was flaky and well seasoned and the batter was crispy and light and wasn’t too oily. My friend ordered the steak sandwich which came with a blue cheese sauce in a toasted onion ciabatta and a portion of sweet potato fries.  For dessert I ordered the scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. The scones were light and fluffy with a perfect amount of sweetness to them as well as the right portion size.

The portion size is ‘fine dining small’ which is perfect for a light meal in the evening with a few cocktails. However, if you are looking for a more substantial meal then I would recommend ordering sides to compliment the main. Bar food is served from 12pm – 9:30pm and 12pm – 8pm on Sunday.

I ordered a mojito mocktail that was made from lemonade, brown sugar, lime, mint and raspberry. But there is also a choice between apple and strawberry as well incase you’d prefer another flavour to the raspberry. My friend ordered a hot chocolate which I was told was creamy and had a rich chocolate taste. There is an extensive list of cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines, hot drinks and soft drinks. They also serve seedlip which is the first non-alcoholic distilled spirit in the world.

Although there has been little change at Panoramic 34 since my last visit, their sleek and sophisticated style to dining remains impressively consistent. The classy and relaxing feel to the service, food and atmosphere continues to make the restaurant a very special place to celebrate in one of the UK’s highest restaurants. The beautiful skyline of the city makes Panoramic 34 a unique experience that will leave customers wanting to return very soon.
