This Friday night, Tate Liverpool are hosting an evening of art, music, workshops and talks to celebrate the opening of the new display Op Art in Focus, featuring psychedelic artworks from the 1960s through to present day.

NTS Radio will feature at the event, playing an incredible mix of music from emerging and established artists including Breakwave, Space Afrika and Jon K.

In addition, Tate Liverpool Director Helen Legg will host a special In-Conversation talk with The White Pube, the collaborative identity of artists Gabrielle de la Puente and Zarina Muhammad under which they curate and write criticism. For those who want to get involved themselves, there will be a hands-on workshop to take part in, curated by 15-25 years old from Team Tate Collective.

Tate Liverpool café will be offering a street food menu featuring Harissa falafel sliders and mango, avocado and chilli tacos. This event is a unique opportunity to experience the new display of optical art at Tate Liverpool after hours.
