This October, the Royal Albert Dock will become the hub of the city as it provides some fantastic events for everyone to enjoy! From a huge drawing festival, to a creative Diwali workshop, and a mouth-watering food and drink quiz, there’s something for everyone this month at Liverpool’s iconic waterfront.

Revolucion de Cuba – Salsa Social 4th & 18th October
Revolucion de Cuba host free salsa classes, with a beginners class and an intermediate class with an experienced salsa teacher. Following the dance lessons, there is a club night until 2:30am, where one of the resident salsa teachers, DJ Yayo, brings you the music. The perfect chance to dance the night away.

Lunyalita – Spanish Food and Drink Quiz 12th October
Come along to Lunyalita for a night of quizzing, with food and drink to taste, questions, a Spanish culture round and a live music round. Starting at 7pm, and £2 entry per person, with a prize pot as big as the entry fees collected.

Beatles Story – Festival of Light Paper Lanterns Workshop 22nd October
This family workshop allows visitors to create paper lanterns in celebration of Diwali, with lots of different materials and peacocks, tigers and elephants for inspiration. What better way to kick start the half term holiday than with a free event?

Tate Liverpool – Ugo Rondinone: Liverpool Mountain 23rd October
First of its kind in Europe, a 10-metre high sculpture will stand on the Albert Dock, seeming to defy gravity, next to the Tate. Inspired by the meditative art of rock balancing the Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone has created a sculpture of stacked coloured rocks as part of the 10th anniversary of Liverpool Capital of Culture, the 20th anniversary of Liverpool Biennial and the 30th anniversary of Tate Liverpool.

The Big Draw – 23rd – 26th October                                                          The world’s biggest drawing festival is at the Tate Liverpool this October half term, where creative artist-led workshops are being put on. This is suitable for all ages, and there is also a special workshop for children with autism and communication issues to take part in.
