  Novak Djokovic overcame the banker that is Rafael Nadal in Monte Carlo today, beating the Spaniard 6-2 7-6 (7-1). Having won 46 Monte Carlo matches in a row, Nadal, who has won the title every year since 2005, succumbed to the world number one on his favourite surface.
