Plane crashes in Pakistan: 127 people feared dead.

A Boeing Co. 737-200 has crashed in Pakistan today, with 127 people on board. The plane was travelling from Karachi to Islamabad and crashed into a residential area moments before it was due to land. Hospitals around the area are reported to be on high alert, however, as of yet there are no reports of survivors. Saifur Rehman, a member of a rescue team spoke to Pakistan’s Geo TV saying, “The wreckage is on fire. Massoud Hossaini wins Pulitzer Prize for harrowing suicide bombing image

Photojournalist Massoud Hossaini has been confirmed as the winner of the Pulitzer Prize for breaking news photography. The harrowing image of 12 year old Tarana Akbari dressed in a green dress and headscarf which she now no longer wears shows her surrounded by dead bodies following a suicide attack in Kabul. The bombing that killed at least 70 people on December 6, 2011 portrays the sheer devastation of war.
