Chart Review: Sam Smith holds the top spot

British singer-songwriter Sam Smith spends a second week at number 1 with Lay Me Down. The song is the fifth single to be released from his album In the Lonely Hour, and it was recently announced as the official Comic Relief single, which includes an additional verse by John Legend. The song was 9,000 copies ahead of the number two track. Sam Smith scored the chart double last week as both his single Lay Me Down and album In the Lonely Hour rise to the top spot. The single, which was re-released as the official Comic Relief charity single and includes a newly added verse by R&B singer John Legend, soared to the top with sales of 105,000.
